Wegen vulgärer Äußerungen über Frauen sah sich der Republikaner zu einer Entschuldigung bei seinen Landsleuten genötigt. „Ich habe es gesagt. Es war falsch. Ich entschuldige mich“, sagte Trump in einer aufgezeichneten Botschaft, die seine Wahlkampfzentrale in der Nacht zum Samstag öffentlich machte.
... Der am Freitag von der „Washington Post“ veröffentlichte Stein des Anstoßes stammt aus dem Jahr 2005: In dem Video ist zu hören, wie der damals bereits mit seiner jetzigen Frau Melania verheiratete Trump in drastischen Worten seinen Versuch beschreibt, eine andere Frau zu verführen.
„Ich habe mich an sie rangemacht, bin aber gescheitert“, sagt er. Er habe versucht, „sie zu ficken. Sie war verheiratet.“ Er habe sich hemmungslos („like a bitch“) an sie rangemacht, aber ohne Erfolg. Inzwischen habe die - nicht näher identifizierte - Frau „ihr Aussehen total verändert“. Trumps Beschreibung: „Sie hat jetzt große künstliche Titten und alles.“
Der Immobilienmogul fährt dann fort, dass er sich „automatisch“ zu schönen Frauen hingezogen fühle. „Ich fange einfach an, sie zu küssen (...). Ich warte nicht einmal. Und wenn du ein Star bist, dann lassen sie es zu. Du kannst alles machen.“ Er könne sogar Frauen zwischen die Beinen grapschen (und sie ließen es geschehen). „Grab them by the pussy, you can do anything“, ist im englischen Original zu hören.
Zu hören sind in dem Video Auszüge eines während einer Busfahrt geführten Privatgesprächs Trumps mit dem damaligen Moderator der Infotainment-Fernsehsendung „Access Hollywood“, Billy Bush.
In seiner schriftlichen Erklärung sprach Trump am Freitag von Bemerkungen, wie sie Männer in Umkleideräumen machen würden. Ex-Präsident Bill Clinton, der Ehemann seiner demokratischen Rivalin Hillary Clinton, habe bei gemeinsamen Ausflügen mit ihm auf dem Golfplatz weit schlimmere Worte fallen lassen.

Nach dem am Wochenende aufgetauchten Video, in dem Trump sexuelle Belästigung als in Ordnung darstellt, wäre es ein Leichtes gewesen, ihn immer wieder auf diese Aussagen zurückzuführen und den Wählern ins Hirn zu hämmern, was für ein Mensch der Immobilienmogul ist. Clinton verzichtete darauf und wiederholte nur die alten Geschichten von Trumps Angriffen auf Schwarze, Latinos, Behinderte und Muslime. Sie scheint den Wählern zeigen zu wollen, dass sie zwar ein Teil des Polit-Establishments ist, im Gegensatz zu Donald Trump aber die wesentlich vernünftigere Person im Weißen Haus wäre.

Der Unterschied zwischen Clinton und Trump?
Ganz einfach:
Bei Clinton schöne aber heuchlerische Worte, denen schlechte nämlich sozialdemokratische Taten folgen, bei Trump schlechte aber ehrliche Worte, denen (hoffentlich) schöne bürgerliche Taten folgen.
Trumps berechtigter Kernvorwurf an Clinton und das politische Establishment: ihre verlogene political correctness und selbstgerechte "alternativlose" Falschheit.
Das herrschende krumme sozialdemokratische Polit-System zeigt das schmutzige Gesicht der Selbstüberhöhung des Establishments als Elite und seine (des Establishments) Verachtung des Volkes als Pöbel.
Woran Trump Anstoß nimmt ist die fundamentale Entfremdung zwischen Staatsklasse und Volk.
Mit Clinton geht die Vertiefung der Kluft zwischen Staatsklasse und Volk weiter wie bisher.
Das sozialdemokratische Establishment
- hütet, sichert, eskaliert sein Parasitentum am Volk mit Steuer- und Abgabentyrannei,
- verschanzt sich in seinem Hochmut, seiner Arroganz, seiner Überheblichkeit gegenüber dem Volk mit staatsmedialer Hetze.
Mir scheint, Trumps Zorn ist ein aufrichtiger, gerechter Zorn über diese Zustände, über diesen Verrat der sozialdemokratischen Staatsklasse am Volk.
Was das Establishment Trump als Vulgarität, Obszönität, Simplizität, Hass, Perfidie etc. vorwirft war vielleicht schon immer nur ein provokativer Protest gegen den unerträglichen, durch nichts gerechtfertigten "Fortschritt"sdünkel des sozialdemokratisch-westlichen Polit-Betriebes und seiner schmutzigen Polit-"Kultur".

Anfang Längeres Zitat Außenminister Frank-Walter Steinmeier hat dieser Tage etwas sehr Treffendes über die derzeitigen Beziehungen zwischen dem Westen und Russland gesagt: „Es ist eine Illusion, zu glauben, es sei der alte Kalte Krieg. Die neuen Zeiten sind anders, sind gefährlicher.“ Leider tut sich zwischen diesem Satz und dem meisten, was Steinmeier in den vergangenen Monaten sonst zu diesem Thema vorgebracht hat, eine tiefe Kluft auf. Denn er und andere führende Sozialdemokraten preisen beharrlich ein Rezept aus den Zeiten des Kalten Krieges als Vorbild für die heutige Politik an: die Ostpolitik der siebziger Jahre des vorigen Jahrhunderts.
Die Erinnerung an die Zeiten, in denen die SPD ihre größten Wahlerfolge gefeiert hat, mag der Seele der Partei guttun. Aber gerade deshalb ist dieser Rückgriff auf ein veraltetes Erfolgsmodell gefährlich: Er nährt in einer dafür empfänglichen deutschen Öffentlichkeit die Illusion, man müsse der russischen Führung nur die richtigen Angebote machen, dann werde man schon wieder zusammenfinden. Das lenkt die Debatte in eine grundfalsche Richtung – weg von der Wirklichkeit in das Land der frommen Wünsche.
Was geschieht, wenn aus solchem Denken politische Initiativen werden, hat Steinmeier unlängst selbst zu spüren bekommen. Der Fall ist nicht spektakulär, aber bezeichnend: In einem Gastbeitrag in dieser Zeitung schlug der Außenminister, sich dabei ausdrücklich auf die Erfahrung mit Willy Brandts Entspannungspolitik berufend, Ende August Gespräche über konventionelle Rüstungkontrolle mit Russland vor, um so neues Vertrauen in Europa zu schaffen. Solche Forderungen höre man aus Moskau. Deshalb sei es „höchste Zeit, Russland beim Wort zu nehmen“, schrieb Steinmeier. Statt die ausgestreckte Hand des deutschen Außenministers zu ergreifen, verpasste das russische Außenministerium ihm eine diplomatische Ohrfeige: Weder habe Russland je eine solche Forderung gestellt noch habe es überhaupt vor, einen Dialog über dieses Thema zu beginnen, lautete der Kernsatz der Antwort aus Moskau, die sonst überwiegend aus Vorwürfen gegen den Westen bestand.
Die Ostpolitik der siebziger Jahre war eine Erfolgsgeschichte. Sie schuf konzeptionell einen Ausweg aus der Sackgasse, in die sich die deutsche Außenpolitik zuvor mit der Weigerung manövriert hatte, die Existenz der DDR als politische Tatsache anzuerkennen. Und sie führte schnell zu spürbaren Ergebnissen für viele Menschen im Osten und im Westen Deutschlands. Dass in den vierzig Jahren der deutschen Teilung verwandtschaftliche und freundschaftliche Beziehungen zwischen Menschen auf beiden Seiten der innerdeutschen Grenze nicht nur nicht abgerissen sind, sondern sogar neu entstehen konnten, ist ein bleibendes Verdienst, das nicht hoch genug geschätzt werden kann. Und auch zu der Normalisierung der Beziehungen zwischen Deutschen und Polen, ohne die nach dem Ende der kommunistischen Diktatur die Einigung Europas kaum möglich gewesen wäre, hat die Politik Willy Brandts in bedeutendem Maße beigetragen.
Der Erfolg hatte eine Voraussetzung: das Interesse der sowjetischen Führung an einer Erhaltung des Status quo. Sie hatte Mitte der sechziger Jahre verstanden, dass sie dem Westen auf Dauer wirtschaftlich und technisch nicht standhalten konnte, und angesichts des periodisch wiederkehrenden Aufruhrs im sozialistischen Lager war ihr auch klar, dass ihr europäisches Bündnissystem nur mit Zwang zusammengehalten werden konnte. Die Ostpolitik hatte deshalb von Anfang an etwas Zweideutiges: Sie trug zum Frieden in Europa bei und erleichterte zwischenmenschliche Kontakte, aber ihre Geschäftsgrundlage war zugleich die Erhaltung der Stabilität der Diktaturen jenseits des Eisernen Vorhangs.
Der wesentliche Unterschied zwischen der späten Sowjetunion und Putins Regime ist, dass dieses nicht eine Einflusssphäre zu erhalten, sondern zurückzuerobern versucht. Revanchismus, nicht Stabilität ist heute das Programm des Kremls. In einem friedlichen Wettlauf mit dem Westen aber ist Russland heute so hoffnungslos unterlegen wie damals die Sowjetunion - sowohl was die Attraktivität seines politischen Systems als auch was seine Wirtschaftskraft betrifft. Diesen Nachteil will Putin kompensieren, indem er seine Gegner im Inneren zu schwächen versucht, aggressiver auftritt und größere Gewalt- und Risikobereitschaft als der Westen zeigt. Die Kriege in der Ukraine und in Syrien, der Fall des angeblich in Deutschland vergewaltigten russischen Mädchens Lisa Anfang des Jahres und der regelmäßige, mit drohendem Unterton vorgebrachte Verweis auf das russischen Atomwaffenarsenal wie dieser Tage bei der Stationierung der Iskander-Raketen im alten Königsberger Gebiet sind Ausdruck dieser Politik.
Die sozialdemokratischen Ostpolitiker haben es schon einmal nicht bemerkt, als die Voraussetzungen für ihren Ansatz im Osten Europas weggefallen sind – das war, als Solidarnosc in den achtziger Jahren die kommunistische Diktatur ins Wanken brachte. Ja, da hat der Sozialdemokrat Steinmeier Recht.
Und doch - scheinbar pardox - ist die Feststellung des Sozialdemokraten Steinmeier eine Lüge.
Denn sie ist ein hinterhältiges Ablenkungsmanöver.
Der Moskauer Cäsaro-Sozialdemokratismus und der Berliner Blockparteien-Sozialdemokratismus stecken unter einer Decke, und zwar gegen die westliche Zivilisation.
Die Zerstörung der westlichen Zivilisation und die Schaffung des sozialdemokratischen Menschen - das ist das Ziel der sozialdemokratischen Achse Berlin-Moskau.
4. Das primär Gefährliche ist das Parteienstaatsystem, nicht der Cäsarismus.
Der weltanschaulich-ideologische Lebenssaft in der Nabelschnur zwischen Berlin und Moskau fließt in West-Ost-Richtung.
In diesem Sinn hat Berlin seinen Anteil an der anti-zivilisatorischen Politik Moskaus in Osteuropa, im Mittelmeerraum und überhaupt in der Welt.

Mr. Carrk said he had obtained the transcripts from “HWA,” an apparent reference to the Harry Walker Agency, which arranged Mrs. Clinton’s paid speeches after she left the State Department in 2013.
“I put some highlights below,” Mr. Carrk wrote. “There is a lot of policy positions that we should give an extra scrub with Policy.”
The more than 80 pages of transcript excerpts appear to have been broken down by a campaign official into sections titled “Awkward,” “Benghazi,” “Email,” and “Helping Corporations,” among others.
The excerpts appear to show Mrs. Clinton taking a more friendly attitude toward financial firms than she does on the campaign trail. At a 2013 speech at a Goldman Sachs event, she is shown lamenting that in Washington, “There is such a bias against people who have led successful and/or complicated lives.” In another speech at a Goldman event, she told the room, “You are the smartest people.”
At another Goldman Sachs speech, discussing how to avoid another financial crisis, she said the “politicizing” of the financial crisis could have been avoided with greater transparency, and told the bankers, “You guys help us figure it out and let’s make sure that we do it right this time.” A year later, at a speech paid for by Deutsche Bank, she said that some element of financial reform “really has to come from the industry itself.”
On the campaign trail, Mrs. Clinton has issued a suite of proposals aimed at curbing some Wall Street risk-taking and holding more individuals accountable for misconduct.
In a 2014 speech, the excerpts show, Mrs. Clinton said that as a U.S. senator from 2001 to 2009, she had won support from Wall Street but still supported regulations that were tough on the industry, including closing a loophole that allows carried interest to be taxed at a lower rate.
Mrs. Clinton also expressed strong support for free trade in a 2013 speech paid for by a Brazilian bank. While she endorsed negotiations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact during her tenure as secretary of state, Mrs. Clinton has since opposed the trade pact, saying it does not do enough to produce new jobs and raise wages.
“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders,” she said in 2013, according to the transcript. “We have to resist protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade.”
Mrs. Clinton also acknowledged the security concerns surrounding BlackBerry devices, an issue that has taken on increased political significance since reports last year that she used a private email server as secretary of state. A Federal Bureau of Investigation probe found no evidence that Mrs. Clinton’s server, which contained emails with classified information, was hacked during her tenure.
“At the State Department we were attacked every hour, more than once an hour, by incoming efforts to penetrate everything we had,” Mrs. Clinton is shown saying at a 2014 speech at a General Electric Co. global meeting. “And that was true across the U.S. government.”
At the same event, Mrs. Clinton is shown lamenting that when she arrived at the State Department, employees were “not mostly permitted to have handheld devices.” She added, “I mean, so you’re thinking how do we operate in this new environment dominated by technology, globalizing forces? Anfang Längeres Zitat Einer der großen Schockmomente des bisherigen Präsidentschaftswahlkampfs ist die Erkenntnis, dass der amerikanische Gründungsmythos und die amerikanische Demokratie nicht so robust sind, wie wir dachten. Donald Trump droht beides zu zerstören.
Dabei ist er lediglich eine äußerst groteske Manifestation der wachsenden Verachtung der Demokratie, die in den vergangenen Jahren auf dem rechten Flügel Amerikas entstanden ist. Die Demokratiefeindlichkeit wurde gefördert von einer republikanischen Partei, die etwa Barack Obama nie als den rechtmäßig gewählten Präsidenten der Vereinigten Staaten anerkannt hat. So bezeichnete Trump Obama kürzlich als "den sogenannten Präsidenten".
Trumps Aufstieg ist eine Folge eines republikanisch dominierten Kongresses, der die Regierung lahmlegt, von Radiomoderatoren, die seit Jahren eine Verschwörungstheorie nach der anderen von sich geben und von Tea Party Aktivisten, die den demokratischen Konsens lächerlich machen. Bei den Republikanern ist der opportunistische Anti-Intellektualismus mittlerweile so tief verwurzelt, dass jedem, der über eine Art von Expertise verfügt, Argwohn und offene Feindschaft entgegenschlagen - vor allem Journalisten.
Jetzt, nach dem Rückzug einiger führender Republikaner, wird sichtbar, wie weit Trump zu gehen bereit ist. Diese konnten nicht länger ignorieren, dass ihr Kandidat ein Mann ist, der Frauen sexuell belästigt. Nun, wo Trump "frei von allen Fesseln" ist, wie er es selbst ausdrückte, wird klar, dass am 8. November voraussichtlich nicht endet, was er seine "patriotische Bewegung" nennt.
Seine Rhetorik gleicht immer mehr der Sprache in einer Diktatur: Er kündigt an, seine Gegenkandidatin Hillary Clinton einsperren zu wollen, wenn er die Wahl gewinnt. Er spricht davon, dass die Wahl manipuliert sei, dass seine Anhänger die Wahllokale überwachen sollten und dass er "die korrupten Medien" in die Schranken weisen werde. Er wendet sich damit an einen signifikanten Teil der Bevölkerung, der sich von der Führung des Landes im Stich gelassen fühlt. Der sich als Opfer der Globalisierung sieht und bedroht von der demographischen Entwicklung.
Trumps Slogan "Make America Great Again" könnte man so deuten, dass er sich am amerikanischen Gründungsmythos orientiert. Doch vieles von dem, was er sagt, steht im direkten Widerspruch zur Verfassung: sein Plan eines Einreiseverbots für Muslime, die stärkere Überwachung von US-Bürgern und der verschärfte Einsatz von Folter. Tatsächlich ist das "großartige Amerika", zu dem Trump zurück möchte, eines ohne Einwanderer und Schwarze. Er propagiert eine Welt, in der weiße Männer sich nicht mehr mit der kosmopolitischen Vielfalt der USA abfinden müssen, sondern ihre angebliche natürliche Überlegenheit ausleben können.
Trump steht für ein komplett anderes Narrativ der amerikanischen Identität, eines, das auf Rasse und Religion basiert.
Je länger sein Wahlkampf andauert, umso deutlicher wird, dass das Publikum, auf das Trump abzielt, diese Nachricht verstanden hat. Viele jüdische Journalisten und Intellektuelle haben darauf hingewiesen, dass der offene Antisemitismus in den USA ein Ausmaß erreicht hat, das sie nie zuvor erlebt haben. In sozialen Medien werden ihre Namen mit einer dreifachen Klammer gekennzeichnet, die Twitter-Version des gelben Sterns, den die Nazis benutzten. Trump persönlich verbreitete bei Twitter ein Bild von Clinton vor einem Hintergrund aus Bargeld. Der Spruch dazu, "die korrupteste Kandidatin aller Zeiten", prangte in einem Davidsstern.
Das Bild stammt von Rechtsextremen, und es war bei weitem nicht die einzige Verbindung. Mehrmals hat er unterstützende Tweets des rechtsextremen Aktivisten Jason Bergkamp weiterverbreitet, der für die Webseite Vanguard 14 schreibt. Dort werden nationalistische und volksverhetzende Botschaften propagiert.
Auch am 13. Oktober zeigte Trump bei einer Wahlkampfveranstaltung in West Palm Beach, Florida, sein wahres Gesicht:"Eine weltumspannende Macht" habe die amerikanische Arbeiterklasse bestohlen, sagte er. Clinton treffe sich heimlich mit Vertretern internationaler Banken und plane die Souveränität der USA zu zerstören. Die Präsidentschaftswahl werde in Wahrheit von einer kleinen Zahl globaler Akteure manipuliert und kontrolliert. Derart antisemitisch gefärbte Behauptungen sind typisch für die alternative Rechte in den USA - und ganz sicher nicht zufällig auf Trumps Teleprompter gelandet. Laut Buzzfeed wurde die Rede von Stephen Bannon geschrieben, Trumps Kampagnenchef und normalerweise Chef von Breitbart News. Die Webseite bietet der alternativen Rechten eine Plattform.

Klar ist: Donald Trumps Vision von Amerika orientiert sich nicht an der Verfassung, sondern an der Vorstellung, dass das "weiße Amerika" von allen Seiten unter Beschuss sei und vor dem Establishment gerettet werden müsse. Seine "patriotische Bewegung" ist auf einem identitären Kreuzzug. Sie ist offen für alle, die von einem Amerika träumen, das nicht demokratisch und freiheitlich ist, sondern in dem weiße Männer die Macht zurückerobern.
Trump hat seine Bewegung bereits für den Fall gerüstet, dass er die Wahl verliert. Indem er Clinton abspricht, eine legitime Kandidatin zu sein, und vorsorglich von einer manipulierten Wahl spricht, bereitet er seine Anhänger darauf vor, den Kampf auch nach dem 8. November fortzusetzen.
Ein kurzer Rückblick: Im Jahr 2000 entschied der Oberste Gerichtshof die Präsidentschaftswahl endgültig zugunsten von George W. Bush. Sein unterlegener Gegenkandidat, der Demokrat Al Gore, sagte nach dem Urteil, er teile die Meinung des Gerichts überhaupt nicht, akzeptiere die Entscheidung aber: "Im Interesse der Einheit unseres Volkes und unserer Demokratie gestehe ich meine Niederlage ein."
Laut Umfragen dürfte Trumps Niederlage nicht annähernd so knapp ausfallen wie jene von Gore. Dennoch werden er und seine Anhänger sie nur als Beweis dafür betrachten, dass die wahren Amerikaner, sprich die Weißen, wieder einmal beraubt wurden. Trump hat das amerikanisch Narrativ verschoben: Von einem Land, das sich an der Verfassung orientiert - hin zu einem Heimatland der Weißen. Das wird es ihm unmöglich machen, eine Wahlniederlage einzuräumen.
Deshalb ist es auch kaum vorstellbar, dass seine Anhänger nach der Wahl einfach von der Bildfläche verschwinden. Selbst wenn Trump die Rolle als Führungsfigur ablehnt - seine Bewegung, die Amerika neu definieren will, wird fortbestehen.
Die Geschichte hat gezeigt, dass die Veränderung eines nationalen Mythos eine extrem schwierige und oft blutige Angelegenheit ist. Dies wird das wahre Erbe von Trump sein. Und es mit anzusehen, dürfte furchtbar werden. Ende Längeres Zitat

Die bürgerliche Sicht auf das Verhältnis zwischen Politik und dem bürgerlichen Leben geht davon aus, daß sich die Verhaltensmaßstäbe in beiden Bereichen nicht prinzipiell unterscheiden.
Der bürgerliche Standpunkt betont daher die Notwendigkeit, in der Politik prinzipiell dieselben Verhaltensnormen zur Anwendung zu bringen wie im bürgerlichen Leben: Wahrhaftigkeit, Ehrlichkeit, Ehrenhaftigkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft.
Eine Philosophie, die uns nahelegen will, daß im politischen einerseits und im zivilbürgerlichen Leben andererseits prinzipiell unterschiedliche ethisch-moralische Maßstäbe anzulegen sind, ist abzulehnen.
Das Gegenteil ist zu verlangen: In der Politik gelten dieselben Anstands-, Moral- und Rechtschaffenheitsgebote wie im bürgerlichen Leben.

Wir haben im Westen auf der einen Seite das Lager der bürgerlichen Zivilisation mit seinen alten bürgerlichen Tugenden, die nicht irgendwelche sondern die ewig wahren und gültigen Tugenden sind.
Und wir haben auf der anderen Seite das sozialdemokratische Lager, das Lager des Bösen, das die bürgerliche Lebensweise negiert, das bestrebt ist, die Lebensäußerungen des Menschen in ihrer Gesamtheit zu politisieren.
Dem sozialdemokratischen Lager geht es darum, das öffentliche Bewußtsein dahin zu konditionieren, daß es nicht geht ohne Lüge, daß es nicht geht ohne Regelverletzung, daß "Gerechtigkeit" nur so zu erreichen ist, daß es nur so "Fortschritt" gibt.
Der Kampf zwischen Trump und Clinton bedeutet nicht einfach nur den Sieg von einer "Person" über eine andere, von einer "Idee" über eine andere, sondern er entscheidet über den Fortbestand und das Überleben der westlichen Kultur.
Man könnte auch sagen: Wir sind an dem Punkt, wo sich die Frage stellt, wird der Westen amerikanisch oder europäisch, wird die zukünftige Kultur des Westens bürgerlich oder sozialdemokratisch.
Es ist doch klar, daß das britische Referendum über den Verbleib in der EU keineswegs nur eine Abstimmung über eine routinemäßige politische Einzelidee war.
Bei aller technischen Unterschiedlichkeit zwischen US-Wahl und Brexit-Referendum ging es in ihr (der britischen Abstimmung) um dasselbe, worum es auch in der Entscheidung zwischen Trump und Clinton geht, nämlich um die kultur-philosophische Frage der Natur des Westens.
Die Briten haben das sozialdemokratische "Europa" abgeschüttelt, und die Amerikaner werden auch das sozialdemokratische Obama- und Clintontum abschütteln.
Wir sind zuversichtlich: Amerika wird nicht europäisch, Europa wird amerikanisch.
Der Sozialdemokratismus, der Europa im Griff hat mit seinen Putins, Junckers, Merkels etc., ist der subtilste, hinterhältigste und damit gefährlichste Kult politischen Doppelstandards.

In the West we have on the one hand the camp of the civic civilization with its old civic virtues which are not any but are the eternally true and valid virtues.
And on the other hand we have the socialdemocratic camp, the camp of evil, that is intend on politicizing the totality of human manifestations of life.
The socialdemocratic camp aims at conditioning the public consciousness in a manner so there is no way without lies, there is no way without violating the rules, only this way "justice" can be achieved, only this way there can be "progress".
The fight between Trump and Clinton is not only about victory of one "person" over another, one "idea" over another, it decides on the continuity, the survival of the Western culture.
One could say: We are at the point, where the question raises, is the Western world going to become american or european, is the future culture of the Western world going to become civic or socialdemocratic.
It is clear that the British referendum on the EU membership was not just a vote on a routine political single idea.
With all technical dissimilarity between the US election and the Brexit-Referendum it (the referendum) was about the same thing the decision between Trump and Clinton is about, namely the cultural-philosophical question of the nature of the West.
The British have shaken off the socialdemocratic "Europe" and so will the Americans shake off the socialdemocratic Obama- and Clintondom.
We are confident: America is not going to be European, Europe is going to be American.
The socialdemocratism which has Europe in its grip with its Putins, Junckers, Merkels ist the most subtile, insidious and therefore dangerous cult of political double standard.

Was die Demokratie zur Demokratie macht ist der Respekt vor dem Volk und seinen Entscheidungen, nicht die Kulturhegemonie eines "bunten" Bündnisses von Minderheiten, die auf der Polizeimacht des Staates ruht.
Was Amerika zu Amerika macht sind nicht seine Migranten, was Amerika zu Amerika macht ist seine Demokratie.

Amerika ist eine Demokratie. Seine charakteristische Kultur ist populär. Democracy is for those who know it, who understand it and who know to appreciate it.
Democracy is not for those who take advantage of it in order to make a mock of it and eventually make away with it.
Democracy is the cause of the people, not the matter of dynasties and established classes.
What constitutes a democracy is respect for the people and its decisions, not cultural hegemony of "colorful" gatherings of minorities that rests on the police might of the state.
What constitutes America is not her minorities, its her democracy.
Migration is an idea which is out of fashion for many a long year. Today´s world is a world of borders. And where the borders are running - every kind of borders -, thereover the people decides which lives within these borders and which defends it.
The future belongs to democracy and therefore to the idea of the border.
It´s the people that has an interest in democracy, not selfish, shortsighted, irresponsible, monistically fixated minorities.
Minorities fear democracy wherefore they have an interest in the division of the people (the biggest political fraud of our time is the European party state system that is being touted as "democracy" by minorities).
In the age of migration (Late Antiquity, Early Middle Ages) what counted was the "law" of the strongest and/or the luckiest war association under its most charismatic and/or least scrupulous swashbuckler.
Behind each "migration" that knows no borders there is the rule of successful warlords.

Bill Clinton’s Presidency was so lacking in history-making events, yet so crowded with the embarrassing minutiae of scandalmongering, that it was easy to miss the great change that those years meant for the country and the Democratic Party. Clinton turned sharply toward deregulation, embracing the free-market ideas of his Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin and the chairman of the Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan. The results appeared to be spectacular. Here is Clinton’s version, in his final State of the Union Message, in 2000: “We are fortunate to be alive at this moment in history. Never before has our nation enjoyed, at once, so much prosperity and social progress with so little internal crisis and so few external threats.” The country had more jobs, higher wages, faster growth, bigger surpluses; it had replaced “outmoded ideologies” with dazzling technology. The longest peacetime expansion in history had practically abolished the business cycle. Economic conflict was obsolete. Education was the answer to all problems of social class. (His laundry list of proposals to Congress included more money for Internet access in schools and funds to help poor kids take college-test-prep courses.) “My fellow-Americans,” the President announced. “We have crossed the bridge we built to the twenty-first century.”
In our conversation, Hillary Clinton spoke of the limits of an “educationalist” mind-set, which she called a “peculiar form of élitism.” Educationalists, she noted, say they “want to lift everybody up”—they “don’t want to tell anybody that they can’t go as high as their ambition will take them.” The problem was that “we’re going to have a lot of jobs in this economy” that require blue-collar skills, not B.A.s. “We need to do something that is really important, and this is to just go right after the denigration of jobs and skills that are not college-connected.” A four-year degree isn’t for everyone, she said; vocational education should be brought back to high schools.
Yet “educationalist élitism” describes the Democratic thinking that took root during her husband’s Presidency. When I asked her if this had helped drive working-class Americans away from the Democratic Party, she hedged. “I don’t really know the answer to that,” she said. “I don’t think it is really useful to focus just on the nineties, because really the nineties was an outlier.”
... This spirit followed Bill and Hillary out of the White House. The conflation of virtue and success guided the family foundation they created, the celebrity-studded charity events they hosted, their mammoth speaking fees, their promiscuous fund-raising.
... Globalization’s biggest winners are the new Asian middle and upper classes, and the one-per-centers of the West: these groups have almost doubled their real incomes since the late eighties. The biggest losers are the American and European working and middle classes—until very recently, their incomes hardly budged.
During these years, resistance to globalization has migrated from anarchists disrupting trade conferences to members of the vast middle classes of the West. Many of them have become Trump supporters, Brexit voters, constituents of Marine Le Pen and other European proto-fascists. After a generation of globalization, they’re trying to derail the train.
... Just as [Clinton’s final Secretary of the Treasury, Lawrence] Summers received credit for the nineties boom, he took some blame for the Great Recession. He had helped the Clinton Administration push through the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, which had walled off commercial banking from investment banking. In 2000, he supported a law regulating derivatives that many critics have called insufficient. Summers has argued, convincingly, that the repeal of Glass-Steagall had little bearing on the 2008 crisis for which it became a chief symbol. Still, he strongly supported Wall Street deregulation, and he remains an important figure in the Democratic Party’s alignment with the professional class.
In July, I went to see Summers at his vacation home in Massachusetts. When I arrived, he had just pulled up—in a Lexus—after a morning of tennis. We sat on a terrace overlooking Cape Cod Bay. Summers described numerous trips that he had made during his years at Treasury to review antipoverty programs in Africa and Latin America, and in American inner cities. “I don’t think I ever went to Akron, or Flint, or Toledo, or Youngstown,” he admitted. To Democratic policymakers, poverty was foreign or it was black. As for displaced white workers in the Rust Belt, Summers said, “their problems weren’t heavily on our radar screen, and they were mad that their problems weren’t.”
Summers still supports trade agreements, including nafta. The problem, he said, is that few people understand the benefits: the jobs created by exporting goods; trade’s role in strengthening other economies, thereby reducing immigration flows from countries like Mexico. The “popularization of politics,” he said, keeps leaders from pursuing controversial but important policies. If the Marshall Plan had been focus-grouped, it never would have happened. Globalization creates what Summers called a “trilemma” among global integration, public goods like environmental protection or high wages, and national sovereignty. It’s become clear that Democratic élites, including him, underestimated the power of nationalism, because they didn’t feel it strongly themselves.
Summers described the current Democratic Party as “a coalition of the cosmopolitan élite and diversity.” The Republicans, he went on, combined “social conservatism and an agenda of helping rich people.” ...
Two decades ago, the conservative social scientist Charles Murray co-wrote “The Bell Curve,” which argued that inherited I.Q., ethnicity, and professional success are strongly connected, thereby dooming government efforts to educate poor Americans into the middle class. The book generated great controversy, including charges of racism, and some of its methodology was exposed as flawed. In a more recent book, “Coming Apart,” Murray focusses on the widening divide between a self-segregated white upper class and an emerging white lower class. He concludes that “the trends signify damage to the heart of American community and the way in which the great majority of Americans pursue satisfying lives.”
Murray lives in Burkittsville, Maryland, an hour and a quarter’s drive from Washington, D.C. It’s a virtually all-white town where elements of the working class have fallen on hard times. “The energy coming out of the new lower class really only needed a voice, because they are so pissed off at people like you and me,” he said. “We so obviously despise them, we so obviously condescend to them—‘flyover country.’ The only slur you can use at a dinner party and get away with is to call somebody a redneck—that won’t give you any problems in Manhattan. And you can also talk about evangelical Christians in the most disparaging terms—you will get no pushback from that. They’re aware of this kind of condescension. And they also haven’t been doing real well.”
... The moral superiority of élites comes cheap. Recently, Murray has done demographic research on “Super Zips”—the Zip Codes of the most privileged residents of New York, Washington, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. “Super Zips are integrated in only one way—Asians,” he said. “Blacks and Latinos are about as scarce in the Super Zips as they were in the nineteen-fifties.” Multiethnic America, with its tensions and resentments, poses no problem for élites, who can buy their way out. “This translates into a whole variety of liberal positions” ...

There was a growing recognition that a historic President had cleared barriers at the top but not at the bottom—that the Obama years had brought little change in the systemic inequities facing the black and the poor. This disappointment, along with shocking videos of police killings of unarmed black men, produced a new level of activism not seen in American streets and popular culture since the late sixties.
... I recently spoke with the social scientist Glenn Loury, who teaches at Brown University. As he sees it, if race becomes an irreducible category in politics, rather than being incorporated into universal claims of justice, it’s a weapon that can be picked up and used by anyone. “Better watch out,” he said. “I don’t know how you live by the identity-politics sword and don’t die by it.” Its logic lumps everyone—including soon-to-be-minority whites—into an interest group. One person’s nationalism intensifies tribal feelings in others, in what feels like a zero-sum game. “I really don’t know how you ask white people not to be white in the world we’re creating,” Loury said. “How are there not white interests in a world where there are these other interests?” He continued, “My answer is that we not lose sight of the goal of racially transcendent humanism being the American bedrock. It’s the abandonment of this goal that I’m objecting to.”
... While the Democrats were becoming the party of rising professionals and diversity, the Republicans were finding fruitful hunting grounds elsewhere. The Southern states turned Republican after 1964, when President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act ... Something changed that couldn’t be attributed just to the politics of race. Culturally, the Republican Party was getting closer to the working class.
To some liberal analysts, this crossover practically violated a law of nature—why did less affluent white Americans keep voting against their own interests? During the 2008 campaign, Barack Obama spoke to an audience of donors in San Francisco, and analyzed the phenomenon as a reaction to economic decline: “They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” It’s hard to remember that, in 2008, the key constituents of his opponent for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton, were working-class whites; indeed, her only hope of winning the nomination lay in such states as West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Clinton pounced on Obama’s speech, calling it “élitist.”
She was right. Obama was expressing a widespread liberal attitude toward Republican-voting workers—that is, he didn’t take them seriously. Guns and religion, as much as jobs and incomes, are the authentic interest of millions of Americans. Trade and immigration have failed to make their lives better, and, arguably, left them worse off. And if the Democratic Party was no longer on their side—if government programs kept failing to improve their lives—why not vote for the party that at least took them seriously?

For ordinary Americans, traditional religion was a bulwark against the moral relativism of the modern age. Kristol’s pieces in the Wall Street Journal officiated at the unlikely wedding of business executives and evangelical Christians in the church of conservatism—a role that perhaps only a Jewish ex-Trotskyist could take on.

A network-systems administrator, an oil-and-gas-company vice-president, a journalist, and a dermatologist hire nannies from the same countries, dine at the same Thai restaurants, travel abroad on the same frequent-flier miles, and invest in the same emerging-markets index funds. They might have different political views, but they share a common interest in the existing global order. As Thomas Frank put it, “The leadership of the two parties represents two classes. The G.O.P. is a business élite; Democrats are a status élite, the professional class. They fight over sectors important for the national future—Wall Street, Big Pharma, energy, Silicon Valley. That is the contested terrain of American politics. What about the vast majority of people?”

... Party leaders should have anticipated Trump’s rise—after all, he was created in their laboratory, before he broke free and began to smash everything in sight. The Republican Party hasn’t been truly conservative for decades. Its most energized elements are not trying to restore stability or preserve the status quo. Rather, they are driven by a sense of violent opposition: against changes in color and culture that appear to be sweeping away the country they once knew; against globalization, which is as revolutionary and threatening as the political programs of the Jacobins and the anarchists once were.
“Reactionaries are not conservatives,” the political essayist Mark Lilla writes in his new book, “The Shipwrecked Mind: On Political Reaction.” “They are, in their way, just as radical as revolutionaries and just as firmly in the grip of historical imaginings.” This is the meaning of Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again.” Though the phrase invoked nostalgia for an imagined past, it had nothing to do with tradition. It was a call to sweep away the ruling order, including the Republican leadership. “The betrayal of élites is the linchpin of every reactionary story,” Lilla writes.
The Trump phenomenon, which has onlookers in Europe and elsewhere agog at the latest American folly, isn’t really exceptional at all. American politics in 2016 has taken a big step toward politics in the rest of the world. The ebbing tide of the white working and middle classes in America joins its counterpart in Great Britain, the Brexit vote; Marine Le Pen’s Front National, in France; and the Alternative für Deutschland party, which has begun to threaten Angela Merkel’s centrist coalition in Germany ...
... There’s an ongoing battle among Trump’s opponents to define his supporters. Are they having a hard time economically, or are they just racists? Do they need to be listened to, or should they be condemned and written off? Clinton, addressing a fund-raising dinner on Wall Street in September, placed “half” of Trump’s supporters in what she called “the basket of deplorables”—bigots of various types. The other half, she said, are struggling and deserve empathy. Under criticism, she half-apologized, saying that she had counted too many supporters as “deplorables.” Accurate or not, her remarks rivalled Obama’s “guns and religion” and Romney’s “forty-seven per cent” for unwise campaign condescension. All three politicians thought that they were speaking among friends—that is, in front of wealthy donors, the only setting on the campaign trail where truth comes out.
In March, the Washington Post reported that Trump voters were both more economically hard-pressed and more racially biased than supporters of other Republican candidates. But in September a Gallup-poll economist, Jonathan T. Rothwell, released survey results that complicated the picture. Those voters with favorable views of Trump are not, by and large, the poorest Americans; nor are they personally affected by trade deals or cross-border immigration. But they tend to be less educated, in poorer health, and less confident in their children’s prospects—and they’re often residents of nearly all-white neighborhoods. They’re more deficient in social capital than in economic capital ...
... Nationalism is a force that élites always underestimate—that’s been a lesson of the year’s seismic political events, here and in Europe. It can be turned to good or ill, but it never completely goes away. It’s as real and abiding as an attachment to family or to home. “Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo,” Trump declared in his convention speech. In his hands, nationalism is a loaded gun, aimed not just at foreigners but also at Americans who don’t make the cut. But people are not wrong to want to live in cohesive communities, to ask new arrivals to become part of the melting pot, and to crave a degree of stability in a moral order based on values other than just diversity and efficiency. A world of heirloom tomatoes and self-driving cars isn’t the true and only Heaven.
... As she ended our conversation in the hotel basement—she had to get to the evening’s fund-raiser—I asked how she could hope to prevail as President. She talked about reminding voters of “results,” and of repeating a “consistent story.” Then, as if she found her own words inadequate, she leaned forward and her voice grew intense. “If we don’t get this right, what we’re seeing with Trump now will just be the beginning,” she said. “Because when people feel that their government has failed them and the economy isn’t working for them, they are ripe for the kind of populist nationalist appeals that we’re hearing from Trump.” She went on, “Look, there will always be the naysayers and virulent haters on one side. Was in Amerika passiert, und auch das ist vergleichbar mit Europa, ist ein Kampf um die "weiße Identität", so hat die New York Times das beschrieben, es ist die Abwehrschlacht einer verschwindenden weißen Mehrheit.
Es ist aber auch die Abwehrschlacht der Verlierer - oder derjenigen, die sich als solche sehen - gegen eine Globalisierung, die als Versprechen präsentiert wurde, von Republikanern wie Demokraten, von Ronald Reagan bis Barack Obama. Eine Globalisierung, die weite Landstriche in West Virginia oder Ohio oder Pennsylvania verwüstet und leer zurückgelassen hat, materiell, moralisch, politisch. Eine Globalisierung, die Teile der Bevölkerung für immer dem Konsens oder wenigstens dem Common Sense entfremdet hat.
In dieses Vakuum ist Donald Trump gestoßen, mit einer Rücksichtslosigkeit und Brutalität, die erst der Elite der Republikaner den Atem genommen hat und die Partei auf absehbare Zeit zerstört hat - und die dann die liberale Elite des Landes ratlos und fassungslos gemacht hat. Now, Trump faces the task of uniting a nation traumatized by the ugliest campaign in modern history and ripped apart by political divides exacerbated by his own explosive rhetoric -- often along the most tender national fault lines such as race and gender.
Trump will be the first president to enter the White House with no political, diplomatic or military executive experience. In Siedlerkreisen in Israel begrüßte man Trumps Wahlsieg euphorisch: Schließlich zieht nun kein gewöhnlicher Republikaner ins Weiße Haus, also ein Mitglied jener Partei, die sich am ehesten mit Israels rechter Regierung identifiziert, sondern, so die Tageszeitung „Haaretz“, ein „Republikaner auf Steroiden“. Trump hat in der Vergangenheit all das gesagt und versprochen, was sich Israels Ultrarechte seit Jahrzehnten wünscht.
Dabei werden dem zukünftigen Präsidenten weder der Senat noch das Repräsentantenhaus Steine in den Weg legen. Die Republikaner haben die Mehrheit in beiden Häusern des Kongresses gewonnen. Nach dem überragenden Erfolg ihres umstrittenen Kandidaten sind die Pragmatiker in der Partei so geschwächt, dass sie sich dem Alleinsieger Trump in außenpolitischen Fragen wie Israel nicht in den Weg stellen werden. Doch die Freude in Tel Aviv könnte verfrüht sein. Trumps Aussagen zum Nahen Osten sind alles andere als eindeutig, seine Strategie unklar.
Nur eines scheint klar: Trump strebt eine Verständigung mit Russlands Präsident Wladimir Putin an. Das könnte Israel indes einen schweren Preis abverlangen. Denn damit würde der Mann, den Netanjahu als „Israels wahren Freund“ bezeichnete, die Erzfeinde des Judenstaates stärken.
Diese langfristige Aussicht schien in regierungsnahen Kreisen niemanden zu beunruhigen – jedenfalls nach außen hin. Stattdessen feierte man die Gemeinsamkeiten mit Trump. Bildungsminister Naftali Bennett, Vorsitzender der Siedlerpartei Das jüdische Heim, meinte, nun sei „die Gelegenheit, sich sofort endgültig von der Idee eines Palästinenserstaates zu verabschieden“. Schließlich sei das die Politik des neu gewählten Präsidenten. Tatsächlich kann man das so in einem Kommuniqué von Trumps Beratern zum Thema Israel, Jason Greenblatt und David Friedman, lesen.
Das Papier erklärt die Zwei-Staaten-Lösung für unmöglich, „solange die Palästinenser Israel nicht als jüdischen Staat akzeptieren und ihre Hetze nicht einstellen“. Es konstatiert, bei Israels Kontrolle über das Westjordanland handele es sich nicht um eine Besatzung. Der jüdische Staat könne sich nur auf Grenzen zurückziehen, die er selber für strategisch vernünftig halte. Greenblatt wiederholte nun in einem Radiointerview, der Siedlungsbau solle nicht kritisiert werden, schließlich seien die jüdischen Siedlungen in den Palästinensergebieten „kein Hindernis für den Frieden“ – im scharfen Gegensatz zur bisherigen Haltung der USA, die Jerusalem für die Errichtung von Siedlungen anprangerte.
Zudem will Trump „keinen Druck“ auf Israel ausüben, um einen Vertrag mit den Palästinensern herbeizuführen. Schließlich habe er „kein Problem damit“, wenn Israelis „nicht bereit sind, gewisse Opfer für den Frieden zu erbringen“. Trumps Haltung zu den Vereinten Nationen ist genauso skeptisch wie die Israels, ähnlich wie seine Meinung zum Islam.
Außerdem gelobte Trump, die US-Botschaft von Tel Aviv nach Jerusalem zu verlegen, was im Gegensatz zur Praxis fast aller anderen Staaten stünde. Israel beansprucht die ganze Stadt als Hauptstadt, doch die Palästinenser fordern den Ostteil für sich. Deswegen hat keine andere Nation Israels Anspruch bislang anerkannt. Israels engste Verbündete machten bislang die Verlegung ihrer Botschaften nach Jerusalem von einer Einigung mit den Palästinensern abhängig.
Doch was wie die Erfüllung aller Wünsche der israelischen Rechten aussieht, könnte ihr Albtraum werden. Schon jetzt warnen Experten vor neuer palästinensischer Gewalt, wenn Amerika den Siedlern mehr Freiraum gewährt. Darüber hinaus widersprechen Trumps Aussagen Israels vitalen Interessen. Trumps Unwillen, sich zur Verteidigung von Amerikas Bündnispartnern zu verpflichten, mindert das ohnehin angeschlagene Vertrauen arabischer Staaten wie Saudi-Arabien oder Jordanien.
Die von Trump verfolgte Annäherung an Russlands Präsident Putin könnte ein grundsätzliches Problem für Israel werden. Wenn Trump das Schlachtfeld Syrien wie angekündigt Russland, dem Iran und dem Assad-Regime überlässt, stärkt das Teherans Einfluss, auch in anderen Staaten wie dem Irak oder dem Jemen.
Vor diesem Hintergrund klingt Trumps Andeutung, das Atomabkommen mit dem Iran aufzukündigen, inzwischen eher wie eine Drohung. Was vor einem Jahr noch im Einklang mit Netanjahus Kritik am Deal stand, löst inzwischen allerorts Unbehagen aus. Schließlich meint heute eine Mehrheit, der Vertrag
